Santa will be making his first stop to HR Trains & Toys Inc! Come on by November 26, 2023, for the traditional photo with Santa. Then followed by Santa reading the Polar Express under the stars.
Take Photos with Santa:
11am -4pm
Cookies & Punch
The Reading of the Polar Express:
5:45 pm - 7:00 pm
Arrive around 5:45 pm to get some cookies and hot chocolate. Then grab your spot with your little engineers under the stars. Santa returns at 6:00 pm. Then the reading begins with opportunity to take photos with Santa after the event.
It is that time of year to start setting up your train if you have not yet. If you unpack your train and if is not running do not panic. We will do what we can do to help get your train running for the holidays.
Common complications:
1) Like a car when it is not run for long periods of time, it may need oil.
2) Although the track has been packed up for some months now, it may need cleaned.
3) The train itself may need cleaned.
However, other issues can happen. If a train requires a part to be ordered, we will do our best in getting it in as quick as possible. The holidays do sometimes cause hiccups and delays in the delivery of these items. We always hope that we can have everyone's trains running for the holidays!

Fall is here and the train show is near. Our store's inventory is always changing, and a lot has arrived just in time for the train show. Check out the not so scary dinosaur wooden trains! Come on by to see all our great new inventory and our ever-changing stock.
As the world converted to computers, it was no surprise when trains converted from DC to DCC (Digital Command Control). For old schoolers like me, converting to DCC may have not made sense at first. Why change what works? Well because it is better! You can run multiple locomotives. You can also have sound-controlled engines with details of the real engines. If you would like to learn more about DCC, we have a clinic at our train show both days.
Click here for the full clinic schedule!
It is time to start pulling out your locomotives for your holiday displays! Wondering why so early? Just like cars, when they sit for a while they need to be run and maintained. If something seems off, we are ready to help. Beat the holiday rush and get your locomotives checked today!

Have a great day! Let us help you get on track!

Fall is almost here and so is our train show! Stop in today to get all the products you need for your own layout at home. Whether your layout will be made of building kits, scratch built buildings or pre-built buildings, we have what it takes to bring your layout together.
This week's product spotlight has some great buildings and structures that can help save some time in the details of a layout. We're also featuring some wonderful items for your little engineer to add onto their very own Marklin MyWorld model railroad!
Our train show is not just a friendly competition but a way to show different levels of expertise and details. You might look at the layouts and wonder how you could do the same thing. At our show, you will be able to learn not only how to start the layout with the base for the terrain but also how to add the look of real grass with static grass.
Below are some of Woodland Scenics products that help create the real look of grass.

The end of Summer is almost here and that means it is time for a change in scenery!
]]>The end of Summer is almost here and that means it is time for a change in scenery. Whether you are coming down to Florida for a real change in scenery or you are looking to change the scenery on your layout, come on by to check out our full shelves.
If you are looking for a particular item that we do not have in stock, we can order it for you. A pro-tip: if you are coming down in the next week or two, place your wish list order so we can try to have your order in and ready for pick up when you get in town!
And -- keep us on your calendars!

Hope you can join us!
When you come to our train shows you not only see trains running, but you get inspiration for what you can do with trains at your own home whether it is a model railroad layout, a train under the tree, or a train in your garden. There is one more thing you can get from our show: how to put your ideas to life!
In our clinics, we will show you how you can make your vision of tunnels, mountains, terrain and more come to life with Hot Wire Foam Factory tools.
Below are some of the items available for purchase in our store.
Manufacturers are a part of what keep the train hobby on track (pun completely intended). Makers that continuously adapt to current technology make all the difference. Take whistles, for example. Trains have evolved from no whistle at all to a whistle mechanism triggered by the train crossing over a piece in the track. Then they evolved to a whistle mechanism in the engine triggered by a push of the button on the transformer that sent a signal down the track. The changes have brought us to where we are today. Just take a look at Bachmann's DCC & Sound engines controlled by a handheld remote!
Bachmann has been a Train Show staple for years. I hear many times how individuals started in trains by winning a door prize at our train show. Some have even entered our show over the years.
Bachmann's representative, Rich Janyszek, will be displaying new and hot selling Bachmann items at the 75th Train Show in October! He will also be teaching a clinic on the "New Products from Bachmann".
