Exit towards Pinellas Park westbound on Gandy Blvd. Go about one mile and exit Gandy Blvd from the right lane at U.S. Highway 19, just before the overpass. Turn left under the overpass (Southbound) onto U.S. Highway 19. Turn left at the next traffic light, (70 th. Ave. N.). Go to the stop sign and turn right on (34th. St. N.) We are about 200 ft. ahead on the right . You will be entering our parking lot at the rear of our store.

Driving directions from south Florida locations. From Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, take Interstate (75) west across Alligator Alley, and north from Naples, Ft. Myers, Venice, Sarasota and Bradenton. After passing Bradenton watch for Interstate (275) towards St. Petersburg. Join Interstate (275) and continue over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to St. Petersburg. After passing downtown St. Petersburg, and the Tropicana Field Baseball Dome, watch for 54th Ave. N and exit westbound on 54th Ave. N., go to the second traffic light , or the first trafic light past the interstate and turn right on Haines Rd. After passing two traffic lights at 28th. St., and 62nd. Av. N., we are on the right about one half mile past 62nd. Ave. just before Haines Rd. joins U.S. Highway 19

From Jacksonville go west on Interstate (!0) to Interstate (75) and go south.

From Pensacola and Tallahassee, go east on Interstate (10) to Interstate (75) and go south.

H&R Trains is more of a model railroad complex than just a store. It consists of an outdoor garden railroad and several buildings with over 10,000 sq. feet of floor space dedicated entirely to trains. We offer a full range of services that most stores can only dream about, and we carry most major brands in all gauges.

Directly behind our sales counter there is a large picture window which overlooks our Chester Holley research library and learning center. The library has a VCR and video tapes on both prototype and model railroad subjects. It includes books and magazines from 1939 to the present. The library is also equipped with a computer design station where you can design your model railroad with computer software such as "PC Rail", "Right Track", and "RR Track."

The learning center is a place where classes are held on a wide range of model railroad subjects. It is also used for club meetings, birthday parties, the Little Engineers Club, or as a place to just relax with a book from the library.

We service what we sell, and our full time service personnel can be seen in our Engine and Car Shops through the large window at the east end of the retail store. The shop is equipped with the latest state of the art equipment to handle almost any type of installation or repair. We are an authorized service center for Lionel, LGB, and Marklin, and we service all major brands.

Our customers come from all over the world, and we realize that not everyone can get to our store during our regular store hours. We offer two special services just for those customers. First is our H&R Personal Shopper. If you can't get to the store for any reason we will do your shopping for you. The second special service is our H&R VIP Shopper. If you can't get to the store during the hours we are normally open we will open for you, 24 hours a day.

We also offer a Gift Registry for Special Occasions, Holidays, Birthdays, Weddings, Awards, Retirement Gifts. Or what ever the occasion might be.

The store has several operating layouts including a digital layout and an outside garden railroad with over 535 feet of track. The outdoor railroad operates every Saturday, year round, from 10AM to 4PM, rain or shine. We encourage our customers to get hands on experience with the garden railroad, and even issue an Engineers Card to any youngsters who help run the railroad.

The outdoor railroad has become a proving ground for many of the large scale products we sell in the store. Many manufacturers have sent us items to test on our layout, and some have made improvements to their products as a result of our findings.

Every Locomotive, and every power supply will be performance tested at the time of sale and before it is shipped to assure that it runs according to the specifications provided by the manufacturer. H&R Trains Engine and Car Shops will test, without charge, the performance of your equipment once each year for five years from the date of purchase.
